Guernsey Photography Festival

Nice write-up of the Guernsey Photography Festival from The Telegraph site last week. The festival, which runs for another week, this year takes the broad theme of Identity as its conceptual foundation and has over twenty exhibitions over the city, the vast majority of which are free. The events schedule has already featured talks with Samuel Fosso and Martin Parr, and the final week includes workshops with Mike Brehaut, Nick Palluch and Jean-Christophe Godet as well as a photographers fair/street market. It's quite a coup for a new festival (2011 is only the second instalment) to be able to attract high-profile speakers such as Fosso and Parr, so somebody seems to be doing something right.
